Authors' objectives: Sialendoscopy diagnoses salivary stones and salivary duct stricture in salivary gland disease patients, removes salivary stones and expands salivary ducts. It was assessed to see if it was safe and effective.
Authors' recommendations: Sialendoscopy was assessed as having evidence indicating that it was a safe and effective technology in diagnosing salivary gland diseases in salivary glands disease patients, and in treating sialothiasis and salivary duct stricture (recommendation grade D).
