Record ID 32010000882
English
Authors' objectives:
The quantitative in vitro allergy test is an assay that measures allergen-specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) in human serum. It is used to confirm or rule out atopy in patients with allergy-like symptoms. It may also serve to identify the particular allergens to which a patient is allergic. The test is intended as an aid in the clinical diagnosis of IgE-mediated allergic disorders. The results are used in conjunction with medical history and physical examination.
