[Plerixafor (Mozobil) in patients with lymphoma and multiple myeloma]

Authors' objectives:
To assess the efficacy, safety and efficiency of plerixafor in combination with G-CSF compared to any other treatment alternative, including placebo, for mobilisation of CD34+ cells in patients with lymphoma and MM and mobilisation problems.
Authors' recommendations:
The addition of plerixafor to mobilisation schemes that use G-CSF alone decreases the percentage of patients that do not mobilize sufficient amounts CD34+ cells for HSCT both in patients with lymphoma as well as with MM.
