Authors' recommendations: Study found that for confirmed ocular hypertension there is no clear benefit from intensive monitoring for development of open-angle glaucoma and that biennial monitoring may be the best option. Reliable data from long-term follow-up of cohorts of ocular hypertension patients are required.
