To assess the efficacy/effectiveness and safety of the continuous anaesthetic infusion system at the surgical site as treatment in postoperative pain.
To analyse the costs of this system in comparison with other methods used in the common clinical practice.
Authors' recommendations:
Nowadays, there is no clear evidence of greater effectiveness of the continuous infusion system versus other treatments in the management of postoperative pain.
