Authors' recommendations: These guidelines are designed to support the treatment of children (aged 5 to 12 years) and adolescents (aged 13 to 17 years) with obesity in primary and secondary care settings. They incorporate the findings of scientific studies, along with experiential and contextual knowledge, with the aim of guiding practices and service organization in order to improve children's and adolescents' health and well-being either by reducing their level of obesity or by improving their physical health and/or their psychological and social well-being.
