Merlin T, Rao M
Record ID 31999008602
English
Authors' objectives:

To make recommendations on the safety and efficacy of laparoscopic live-donor nephrectomy, in comparison to the standard open nephrectomy for live donors, on the basis of a thorough and systematic review of the peer-reviewed literature.

Authors' recommendations: This review found that the safety and/or efficacy of the procedure cannot be determined due to an incomplete and/or poor quality evidence-base. A controlled clinical trial, preferably prospective with concurrent controls, is required (to assess safety and efficacy).
Authors' methods: Systematic review
