Authors' recomendations: On the basis of this HTA, the project group recommends that nurse follow-up visits should be implemented. It is recommended that a systematic monitoring of the outcome and costs should be conducted in the future. The project group recommend that patients should be carefully selected and the intervention offered to the patients most likely to benefit most from the intervention. This includes pain patients with low physical health related quality of life, patients using catastrophizing to a high degree, and patients in treatment with antidepressants or opioids.
