Authors' objectives:

Biofeedback is a behavioral treatment in which patients are taught to alter their own neuromuscular and autonomic functions, such as muscle tension, balance, blood pressure, heart rate, and skin temperature, using concurrent feedback about these functions. The purpose of biofeedback for recovery after stroke is to improve motor and/or cognitive function affected by the stroke.
