Authors' objectives:

This guidance aims to assess the current evidence on the use of therapeutic sialendoscopy in the treatmentof suspected salivary gland obstruction.

Authors' recommendations: Current evidence on the safety and efficacy of therapeutic sialendoscopy appears adequate to support the use of this procedure provided that the normal arrangements are in place for consent, audit and clinical governance.
