Record ID 32006001476
Portuguese
Authors' objectives:
To compare manual suture to mechanical suture regarding their effectiveness and safety for colorectal anastomosis. The main hypothesis was tested: mechanical suture is more effective than manual suture because of its low risk of complications.
Authors' recommendations:
Currently, there is not enough evidence to show superiority of mechanical as compared to manual approach for colorectal anastomosis, irrespective of the level of anastomosis.
