To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of surgical treatments for epilepsy.
Authors' recommendations:
Nowadays, available evidence is insufficient to affirm what surgical approach is effective and safe in the treatment of epilepsy. However, surgical treatment, despite being invasive, seems to be more viable and promising than antiepileptic drugs.
