Authors' objectives:
To evaluate the effectiveness of acupuncture for carpal tunnel syndrome in the improvement of clinical condition.
Authors' recommendations:
Current evidence does not show any significant benefits of acupuncture for the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. Other non-surgical treatments do not yield significant benefitseither. More trials are necessary in order to compare treatments and examine benefit duration.
