Hysteroscopic tubal occlusion for permanent contraception

Authors' objectives:

Hysteroscopic tubal occlusion involves the insertion of a micro-insert into the ostium of each fallopian tube via a nonsurgical transvaginal approach. The micro-inserts are designed to induce the formation of scar tissue that completely occludes the fallopian tubes. The goal of this procedure is to provide permanent contraception.
