Authors' objectives:

Endovascular occlusion therapy is intended as an alternative to surgical treatment for patients who are diagnosed with an unruptured or ruptured intracranial aneurysm or pseudoaneurysm. The objective of endovascular occlusion therapy is to occlude blood flow to an intracranial vascular lesion by using electrolytically detachable coils and/or stents that are percutaneously deployed within the lesion.
