Authors' objectives:
A health technology assessment (HTA) was undertaken focusing on the possibilities and consequences of establishing minor injury units in a specific Danish municipality (Fyns Amt). Conclusions were based on a review of existing literature and interviews with nurses and responsible doctors in already established minor injury units in Denmark. The HTA was provided as a contribution to the decision-making process at the political level.
