Enteryx (TM): for the treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease

Parrella, A
Record ID 32006000628
English
Authors' results and conclusions: There is limited, low quality (level IV evidence) information available regarding the safety and effectiveness of Enteryx in treating gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in the long term. However, the prevalence of GERD in Australia and the cost of treating it is high.
Authors' recommendations: In light of the evidence and the ongoing controlled investigations of the Enteryx implant, it is recommended that a full health technology assessment be conducted.
