Authors' results and conclusions: There is good quality and quantity of evidence available on the effectiveness of RESPeRATE. The high prevalence of hypertension in the population gives the potential of high uptake of this non-invasive self-management device. However, it is unlikely to have significant clinical or policy impact on the public health system.
Authors' recommendations: HealthPACT recommends that this technology be archived.
