Authors' recommendations:
There is a relationship between the cultural, organisational and personal context in which health professionals operate, and their ability and desire to incorporate evidence-based healthcare into their daily practice. This is particularly true for health professionals in rural and remote clinical practice in Australia, who work within constraints different to those of their urban counterparts. The wheel does not need reinventing with regard to
the strategies for implementing evidence; rather the strategies need to be implemented in contextually appropriate ways.
