Authors' objectives:

This report aims to provide an assessment of whether prehospital treatment is improved through a shorter response time and an increased use of physicians in the ambulance service. Analysis of organisational matters, assessment of clinical and epidemiological effects, and consequences for the budget and the economy with a view to possibly turning the pilot scheme into a permanent scheme are considered.
