Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) is a type of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) that creates a contrast between flowing blood and surrounding stationary tissues. The goal of cardiac MRA is to accurately and noninvasively diagnose cardiac conditions such as coronary artery and congenital heart disease and to assist in pretreatment planning and postoperative follow-up.
