Authors' objectives:

The aim of this study is to assess the available evidence on treatment with immunoglobulines in recurrent miscarriage.

Authors' results and conclusions: Treatment with intravenous immunoglobulines to treat this disorder has been evaluated in multiple comparative studies during the last decade. This assessment analyzed relevant studies comparing treatment with intravenous immunoglobulines vs placebo in women with recurrent miscarriages (three miscarriages or more during the first three months of pregnancy).
Authors' recommendations: Based on the data published in randomized clinical trials and meta-analysis, it can be concluded that this treatment is not effective in terms of recurrent miscarriage prevention, being still in the research stage.
