This report provides an overview and analysis of the different available formulations of human growth hormone.
Authors' results and conclusions:
In the market, there are now several commercially available growth hormone products. The information on the composition of each formulation was analyzed in this report. A bibliography search was carried out to determine if there is published scientific evidence on the superiority of one type of preparation or formulation over others with respect to its efficacy, effectiveness or safety.
Authors' recommendations:
Considering the evidence available today, it is not possible to say that any of the available drugs or formulations is better and must be chosen unquestionably. The decision to chose one treatment and not another can be based on other aspects such as patient s preference, easiness of compliance and costs.
