Authors' objectives:
The objective of this Assessment is to review the available evidence on the use of panels of gene expression markers that appear to predict the likelihood of breast cancer recurrence in various populations of women with node-negative disease in the treatment of breast cancer.
Authors' recommendations:
Based on the available evidence, the use of gene expression profiling for managing breast cancer treatment does not meet the TEC criteria.
