Authors' objectives:

Uterine cryosurgery is used to ablate the endometrium in women with documented menorrhagia of a benign cause. Endometrial cryoablation (ECA) delivers freezing temperatures to the endometrium via a cryoprobe. The goal of therapy is to reduce excessive menstrual blood loss (MBL) associated with dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB) or with uterine fibroids.
