Authors' objectives:

Biofeedback therapy is used as a primary treatment modality for vulvodynia and vulvar vestibulitis, conditions characterized by chronic unremitting genital pain of unknown cause. The use of biofeedback to assist patients with pelvic floor muscle training has been investigated as a method of treatment for these diagnoses due to a postulated connection to abnormal pelvic floor muscle tone.
