Authors' objectives:
To determine whether there is any evidence on the efficacy/effectiveness of pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, hyperbaric chamber treatment or acupuncture in treating patients diagnosed with hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
Authors' results and conclusions:
No published study was identified from all searches. At present, there is no data to support the efficacy/effectiveness of PEMF, hyperbaric chamber or acupuncture in treating patient diagnosed with hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
Authors' methods:
A comprehensive and systematic literature search was conducted on April 3, 2025. The search was done on commercial medical literature databases. Combination of keywords were employed in this literature search. No limitation, such as on the language or date of publication, was implemented in these searches. A manual search, on the references of the studies retrieved in full, was planned.
