This review aims to assess the available evidence on growth hormone in children with idiopathic short stature. This is an update of a 2002 report.

Authors' recommendations: There is moderate scientific documentation concerning the patient benefits derived from treatment of idiopathic short stature. There is poor scientific documentation on the cost-effectiveness of the method.
