English
Authors' objectives: Rehabilitation after knee or hip arthroplasty (joint replacement surgery) may include exercises with a physiotherapist. Move Up is a mobile application which makes it possible for patients to fully or partially follow their rehabilitation programme remotely, while still providing receiving personalized interaction and guidance from their physiotherapist. In order to collect evidence of clinical effectiveness and health economic value, a managed entry agreement was developed by RIZIV/INAMI in 2020. Within this agreement, the app was temporarily reimbursed for patients who had undergone a hip or knee replacement surgery and who participated in a clinical trial. The aim of this KCE project is to assess the use of this new technology for the rehabilitation of patients who have undergone hip or knee arthroplasty. To this end, we will conduct an effectiveness analysis and an economic evaluation based on a systematic literature review and on the clinical trial results. To conduct these analyses, data obtained during the clinical trial, data from the Move Up mobile application and healthcare reimbursement data will be linked.
