Authors' objectives:
Assessment of blue light cystoscopy (BLC) with Hexvix (by Photocure) is used for the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of bladder cancer. Hexvix is instilled into the bladder prior to blue light cystoscopy. The fluorescent effect of Hexvix causes cancer cells to glow red against a blue background when exposed to blue light, enhancing the ability to distinguish cancerous tissue from healthy tissue.
