Authors' objectives:

This Assessment addresses three transesophageal endoscopic procedures for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): endoscopic suturing, radiofrequency energy delivery, and implantation of inert polymers. The available evidence is reviewed to determine the effect of these technologies on health outcomes such as relief of symptoms, prevention of long-term complications, and adverse events.
