Original Title: Válvulas endobronquiales: efectividad, seguridad y coste-efectividad
Authors' objectives: The aim of this report is to conduct a systematic review of the literature on the efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness of EBV.
Authors' recommendations: Based on the scientific evidence available, it is not currently possible to recommend the use of EBV for the treatment of advanced emphysema or persistent air leak. Since some observations in subgroups of patients suggest that those with greater heterogeneity of emphysema, greater integrity of the interlobular fissure or absence of collateral ventilation, may have a greater benefit from the medical technology, the possibility of developing an evaluative registration is recommended in order to provide further information, and to monitor the use and consequences.
