Record ID 32004000025

Authors' objectives:
This study aims to assess the effects of hip resurfacing for osteoarthritis in people under 65, compared with total hip replacement (THR).
Authors' recommendations:
No evidence-based recommendations may be made from the research identified by our search. We found insufficient evidence about comparative efficacy of resurfacing versus replacement for this age group, although it could be argued that benefits and harms of THR are currently better understood than those of hip resurfacing.
