Authors' objectives:

This aim of this report was to assess whether conducting phototherapy for jaundiced neonates in the home is associated with adverse effects compared to phototherapy conducted in the hospital.

Authors' recommendations: No high quality evidence was located that compares home phototherapy to hospital phototherapy in jaundiced neonates. The evidence located was methodologically flawed, but concluded that home phototherapy was a safe and effective alternative to hospital phototherapy.
