Authors' objectives:

This report aims to investigate the value of interventional magnetic resonance imaging. It summarises the scientific and industrial information available and the findings of a group of experts sent by CEDIT to the Boston site equipped with the GEMS technology.

Authors' recommendations: In the clinical domain, analysis of the scientific and industrial information does not demonstrate any validated application to date for interventional procedures carried out under MRI. It highlights that there is not a single technological concept of interventional MRI, but that the technological response must doubtless be adapted to the medical objectives.
