Catalan, English, Spanish
Authors' objectives:

To review the scientific knowledge on the safety, efficacy and/or effectiveness of the MTI Photoscreener in the early detection of the visual system in children.

Authors' recommendations: Although the first results of the application of the MTI Photoscreeners suggest that it may be useful for the detection of amblyogenic factors in children younger than 3 years, this technology is currently in the first stages of its clinical application. Therefore, if the introduction of this device in primary care was considered, it would be advisable to introduce it under a clinical research protocol which contributes to the increase of the scientific knowledge about the efficacy, safety and efficiency of this technology in the early detection of visual defects in children.
