Authors' objectives: This rapid review has two review questions (RQs) which focus on the test performance, clinical benefits and safety of slot-scanning, biplanar, digital radiography X-ray systems for the evaluation and monitoring of scoliosis or other known or suspected orthopaedic conditions. Reference is also made to the potential for public and occupational exposure to ionising radiation arising from the use of these imaging systems.
