Authors' objectives:

This systematic review aims to assess the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of liquid based cytology (LBC) for cervical screening.

Authors' recommendations: Since there is currently insufficient evidence pertaining to liquid-based cytology for cervical screening, the MSAC recommends that public funding should not be supported at this time for this screening test.
