Original Title: Teduglutida en síndrome de intestino corto
Authors' recommendations: Low-quality evidence suggests that the use of teduglutide in parenteral nutrition-dependent patients with short bowel syndrome and subsequent intestinal failure over-one-year-old might significantly reduce parenteral support requirements at medium term. However, the use of teduglutide did not show improvement in the nutritional status of pediatric patients and showed a significantly higher rate of serious adverse events (most of them gastrointestinal) and treatment discontinuation versus the standard of care.
