Authors' objectives: This review has aimed to systematically identify information on processes relevant to decision-making on the expansion of newborn bloodspot screening programmes. In particular, the review aims to present an up-to-date account of current international processes from a selection of countries deemed relevant to the Irish context. The findings of this review will be provided to the NSAC to inform its deliberations with regard to strategic decision-making processes for expansion of the National Newborn Bloodspot Screening Programme (NNBSP).
