Original Title: Baclofeno intratecal por bomba en pacientes con espasticidad
Authors' recommendations: Low-quality evidence suggests that intrathecal baclofen by continuous infusion pump when compared with the best supportive care for patients with severe chronic spasticity secondary to different conditions and refractory to oral medication might considerably improve quality of life and spasticity at middle term. No good-quality evidence comparing this technology with another active therapy has been found. There is consensus among the clinical practice guidelines and coverage policies consulted on using this technology for spasticity refractory to oral therapy. Some of them limit its use in patients who have failed with other treatments (botulinum toxin, cannabinoids and/or certain types of spasticity (generalized or regional). In Argentina, the cost-effectiveness of this technology is unknown.
