Original Title: Bombas de infusión parenteral en internación general
Authors' recommendations: No evidence comparing the potential impact of widespread use of parenteral infusion pumps versus gravity controlled infusion devices in the general hospital ward has been found. Since pump infusion is more accurate than gravity controlled device infusion, hospital standards and coverage policies agree on recommending and covering controlled infusion pumps for high-risk drug administration and in patients labile to volume excess in spite of the lack of evidence assessing the impact on the clinical outcomes of using this technology.
