Authors' recommendations: CONCLUSIONS No comparative studies on the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy versus other type of treatment in patients with pseudoarthrosis have been found. Very low-quality evidence from clinical case reports does not allow determining the usefulness of hyperbaric oxygen therapy administration for the treatment of pseudoarthrosis both as primary or adjuvant therapy. The European Consensus Conference on Hyperparic Medicine does not mention pseudoarthrosis among the indications accepted for this technology. The private and public sponsors consulted do not cover hyperbaric oxygen therapy for this indication. It is not considered for the treatment of pseudoarthrosis in Argentina through the Mandatory Medical Program or the Unique Reimbursement System either. The cost-effectiveness of this technology for the treatment of pseudoarthrosis in Argentina is unknown.
