Original Title: Radioterapia corporal estereotáxica en tumores hepáticos
Authors' recommendations: CONCLUSIONS Low-quality evidence suggests contradictory results for stereotactic body radiotherapy effectiveness in patients with primary or metastatic liver tumors versus other therapeutic options. Some clinical practice guidelines assessed consider stereotactic body radiotherapy as an alternative to other existing techniques (radiofrequency, transarterial chemoembolization, other types of radiotherapy, etc.) for the treatment of local liver tumors, while others only consider it for patients who are not candidates or have contraindications for other therapies. Of the coverage policies assessed, only some United States private health sponsor cover stereotactic body radiotherapy for eligible patients. No cost-effectiveness studies or budgetary-impact analysis have been found in Argentina.
