Original Title: Tioridazina para problemas de conducta en pacientes con discapacidad intelectual
Authors' recommendations: CONCLUSIONS Evidence on the use of thioridazine for the treatment of challenging behavior in patients with intellectual disability is scarce and of very low quality; therefore, it is not possible to draw conclusions on its effectiveness. On the other hand, there is evidence indicating that the risk of cardiac death associated to the use of this drug is higher than the risk associated to other antipsychotics used for this indication. No studies assessing the financial impact or cost-effectiveness of this intervention have been conducted.
