Original Title: Dosaje de neurotransmisores en líquido cefalorraquídeo en encefalopatías
Authors' recommendations: CONCLUSIONS The evidence on the usefulness of screening neurotransmitters in cerebrospinal fluid in encephalopathies is of very low quality. No studies comparing this technology with other usual diagnostic methods such as clinical criteria or imaging intended for differential diagnoses among the different entities associated to chronic encephalopathies or generalized development disorder have been found. Only one consensus recommending its use in case of the aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase deficiency has been found. No coverage policies on the use of this technology have been found.
