Original Title: Statines, mesures hygiéno-diététiques et prévention cardiovasculaire
Authors' objectives: - Evaluate the place of Statins in the primary and secondary prevention of CVD. - Provide a tool for the stratification of cardiovascular risk - Clarify the controversy surrounding the criminalization of cholesterol in cardiovascular risk - Evaluate the efficiency of the different statins currently reimbursed in Tunisia - Evaluate the place and importance of dietary and healthy lifestyle measures in cardiovascular prevention
Authors' results and conclusions: - a national CVR assessment tool is proposed - The statin and dosage are defined by the prescriber and should be adapted to the profile of the patient, based on his/her CVR and baseline of LDL-c levels, and in association with the cost-effectiveness ratio.
Authors' recommendations: Certain statins should be prioritized in terms of their efficiency, but the decision to prescribe them will take into account the individual characteristics of each patient.
Authors' methods: Adaptation of a clinical guideline using the ADAPT tool after prior assessment using the AGREE tool. An economic study was conducted using data collected from the national health insurance agency for 2019, applied to the evidence-based literature conclusions.
