Trasplante renal de donante vivo incompatible.
Authors' results and conclusions:
Incompatible living donor kidney transplantation is a good therapeutic option compared to other therapies for these patients. Survival, both the graft and the patient, has proven to be adequate and similar to compatible living donor kidney transplantation. Should be necessary to reach an agreement about the most appropriate desensitization treatment since is directly responsible of some complications observed, and the economic cost of the therapy.
The own economic evaluation has been conditioned by the lack of information regarding this therapy in Spain. The cost of an incompatible living donor kidney transplantation has been estimated in a range of 19,000 to 59,000 € per patient, depending on the desensitization treatment used. The analysis of cost and budget impact analysis, of one year of duration, carried out, established that this option is few efficient compared with maintenance dialysis the same time. However, if no exist other therapeutic option, the stay on dialysis surely can be longer, so in the long term incompatible living donor kidney transplantation could be an efficient treatment and that save cost for the SNS in the treatment of the renal disease.
Nevertheless, incompatible living donor transplantation economic impact will be conditioned by how other initiatives that make possible to increase the number of compatible transplants go forwards, reducing the application of this technique and, therefore, the health cost of treatment disease.
