Original Title: Indicación de ortesis en deformidades de los pies en niños.
Authors' objectives: To assess the effectiveness of the templates (plantar orthoses) in foot deformities (flexible flatfoot) for paediatric population (4-10 years).
Authors' results and conclusions: The studies included in this review have raised several methodological limitations and heterogeneous quality. This means that the results should be interpreted with caution. -Plantar orthoses have not proven effective in the treatment of flexible flatfoot in for the paediatric population compared with rehabilitation therapy or the use of analgesics. -No safety results have been found regarding the use of plantar orthoses in the treatment of paediatric flexible flatfoot.
