Original Title: Eficacia y efectividad de las pruebas genéticas para el diagnóstico de la estenosis coronaria. Revisión sistemática
Authors' objectives: A systematic review was performed to determine the efficacy, both in terms of diagnostic validity and precision, and the effectiveness of a genetic blood test for detecting coronary disease.
Authors' results and conclusions: The genetic test on peripheral blood for the diagnosis of the coronary artery disease, despite of being founded on high quality studies, was not useful for its purpose. The specificity of the test was low, suggesting that the test´s accuracy for diagnosing the disease is poor.
